Garden Sangria

Spanish-style red sangria, fruity, boozy, dangerously easy.

What you need

Makes about 11 pours

  • ·1000ml light Spanish red (Garnacha or Tempranillo)
  • ·150ml brandy, ideally brandy de Jerez
  • ·200ml pulp-free orange juice
  • ·50ml sugar syrup
  • ·350ml lemonade, chilled

Method

How you make it

    Combine the red wine, brandy, orange juice and sugar syrup in a jug. Taste, and add a little more syrup only if your wine is very dry.

    Pour into the keg, then top with the chilled lemonade last.

  3. 3

    Seal, gas with CO₂ and chill at least 2 hours, ideally overnight, so it drinks cold and integrated.

Serving tip

Drop the orange, lemon and apple slices into the glass, never the keg. Pour over ice.
