CO₂ & cartridges
Sizes, pour counts, refills, troubleshooting pressure.
Use Tanky's specified food-grade cartridges for your unit. Our refills are sold in 5-, 10- and 20-packs. Do not assume a bike-pump or soda charger is compatible because it looks similar. Contact hello@tanky.com.au to confirm compatibility and the correct setup for your model.
Cartridge use depends on your Tanky and its setup. A slow pour alone does not tell us when to change a cartridge. Follow your product instructions; for cartridge timing or a different-looking lid, email hello@tanky.com.au so the team can confirm your unit.
Stop trying to remove it and contact hello@tanky.com.au. Do not force or loosen parts based on chat advice. Share your model, order number and an existing photo if available; do not operate the unit to demonstrate the problem.
Every US Tanky includes a free CO₂ starter pack. Australian Tanky kegerators are waitlist-only; AU refill packs and accessories follow their product-page availability. Follow the guide supplied with your model for cartridge compatibility and setup. New Zealand Tankys remain waitlist-only.
Tanky refills are sold as food-grade CO₂ cartridges. Use only the specified cartridge for your unit; the gas name alone does not establish another brand's food-grade status or compatibility. Ask hello@tanky.com.au if unsure.
Unexpected cartridge use needs a model-specific check. Do not vent, tighten or replace parts based on a guessed cause. Pause setup and contact hello@tanky.com.au with your model and a description of the issue.
Tanky sells refill packs through the shop where current availability is shown. US Tanky orders include a free starter pack. Australian kegerators are waitlist-only; AU refill packs and accessories remain available according to their product pages. For third-party cartridge compatibility, check your model's guide or contact hello@tanky.com.au before buying.
Follow the storage warnings and expiry information on the cartridge packaging. Keep cartridges away from heat and do not puncture them. Contact the team if the instructions are missing or a cartridge is damaged.
Follow the cartridge manufacturer's disposal instructions and your local waste service's guidance. Do not press a pin, puncture a cartridge or try to release gas to check whether it is empty. If you are unsure of its condition, ask hello@tanky.com.au before handling it further.
